On Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and Wednesday, October 16, 2024, CONNECT Sangamon County hosted community intercept events in various locations throughout Sangamon County. These events provided opportunities for the community to better understand current active transportation concerns, the goals of this active transportation plan, and to help shape the plan by providing input on what the community would like to see regarding the future of active transportation in Sangamon County.

Pop-up events were hosted at the Old Capitol Farmers Market, the Springfield Mass Transit District (SMTD) Transit Facility and the Senior Services of Central Illinois Building.
